When partaking in some activity, whether by yourself or with others, you’ll at least need a time and place. Time • Space. 4 dimensions accounted for, which should be enough. But for this thought experiment, let’s consider the things we do with a Frequency. Tuning into the right frequency for the activity you do can have a powerful, compounding effect. So we should be selective about which activities we do repeatedly. Practice, learn, read, write, run. Once a day, twice a day, 5 times a day, 5 times a week, whichever it is, consider what we do repeatedly as leveraging the width of time.

2 hours once a week < 30 minutes a day for 5 days.

2 hours a day for 5 days a week is enough to make big changes.

8 hours a day for 5-6/days a week?

Spacing out practice is better than cramming, says the research.

I find that people will more likely think about the length of time, of some activity, rather than the width of time. Two hours of a strenuous activity can be difficult, but 30 minutes a day, not so bad.

It is that which we do repeatedly, that defines us.
Not things that we did once, nor things that happened to us once.

My personal recommendation is to do something that feeds your soul, at least once a week, but daily if possible. You can read, pray, draw, dance, sit and breathe, walk barefoot, play with your dog/cat/hamster, whatever it is that feeds your soul.

Now pick some virtuous things to do repeatedly, and make note of the non-virtuous things we may also do repeatedly.
