“In Flow, we’re not using a lot more of the brain, we’re using less.”
The prefrontal cortex is deactivated. We get out of our own way. Risk-taking and creativity goes up.
Sense of time is lost during Flow.
Time is calculated in the prefrontal cortex.
In Flow, we separate from past, present and future. We are plunged into “The Deep Now”
Also known as “The Zone”
During a flow state, time disappears. 100% focus is on the task at hand, and it doesn’t feel like a task, it feels connected to a source that makes it easy and natural.

Ways to experience flow:
•Reading
•Dancing
•Drawing
•Activities that require fast reactions (Sports, Ping pong, Times tables)
Level of Skill vs. Level of Challenge

If the level of challenge is too low, and your level of skill is too high, then you will experience boredom, not flow state.
If the level of challenge is too high, and your level of skill is too low, then you will experience anxiety, not flow state. You will feel more resistance to the task and it will be difficult to be creative.
It’s about having a proper Challenge:Skill Ratio
Peace and keep flowing like a flower.
